The contest held a minute’s silence before the fourth section results in memory of our late chairman, John Slater, who died earlier this year, and also Trevor Hughes, who died recently. The new trophy for the fourth section, “The John Slater Memorial Shield” was presented to the winning band by John’s daughter, Alison.
A big thank you to everybody who worked so hard to make today’s contest a success.
